In perfect sync with its generous 126 feet of beachfront, this tropical contemporary home is on a cliff just high enough to make it breezy and private, with direct access to a sandy cove and every room oriented to the ocean. Its name was bestowed because of the sublime sunrises experienced here, but on entering through heavy wooden doors, one immediately looks out to sea – a series of striking architectural elements brilliantly conspiring to focus the eye. A monolithic arch of indigenous rocks conveys a grand welcome, reiterated by inlaid pebble mats at both the head and foot of the marble entryway stairs. The perspective is so dramatic, this writer needed to pause and take it all in before descending, fascinated. The villa was built by contractor Juan Pablo Stone, with architect Ruben Flores of Sinaloa responsible for the design, which architect Carlos Stone implemented, including selecting all the materials and finishes. Villa Amanecer, just 10 minutes from prestigious Punta Mita resort. The dramatic villa faces the south-western sunset and features a privileged and majestic view overlooking the Bay of Banderas, across to Puerto Vallarta, ringed by the Sierra Madre jungle.
