Our Network pre-dates the internet and was originally developed as a North American bulletin board for the hotel industry in the early 1990’s.

With the emergence of the internet as a valuable information and networking source, Thomas A. Wahl launched a hotel industry portal www.hotelresource.com in 1998, featuring hotel industry resources, industry news and other relevant information.

The internet was in its infancy, and, as end users started embracing this new research tool, the demand for centralized, industry-related information increased dramatically.

Driven by this demand in 2000, the Ozean Group was founded, and we changed our focus, investing in acquiring technology knowledge and resources and launched various niche sites within the hotel industry sector to provide visitors with highly targeted information for:
• news (www.hotelnewsresource.com),
• real estate (www.hotelrealtyresource.com),
• employment opportunities (www.hoteljobresource.com),
• trade shows (www.hospitalityexpos.com),
• trends (www.htrends.com)
• and others.

As the technology and information used by these web sites advanced, the network of our web sites evolved into a central communications platform for various stakeholders within the hotel industry.

Content from the network is accessed by:
• users via email distribution,
• various company web sites,
• but most importantly via content syndication to numerous web sites and intranets in various industry segments, like:
  Corporate (Starwood, InterContinental Hotel Group, etc.),
  Educational (Cornell Hotel School, Florida International University, etc.),
  Associations (California Lodging Industry Association, Hotel Booking Agents Association, etc.),
  Portals (Hospitality Resource Network, Thailand Hotelier, Hotel Asia Pacific, etc.) and
  Suppliers (The Knowland Group, ResAvenue, etc.).

We have since expanded into other channels, including Airlines, Restaurants, Cruise, Gaming, Travel, Vacation Rentals, Home Exchanges, Bed & Breakfast and others.

Important components of our success are PHP web based database applications that were developed in-house by our international software team.

This new scope of our business created a demand for multi-language software development work for the company from both the hospitality and other industries. As a result, we opened an office in Mexico’s Silicon Valley, Guadalajara, and we are in the process of expanding our software development business into other areas.
